Ferrari World Champions — | Signed by Phil Hill & John Surtees
Ferrari World Champions — Limited Edition Acrylagraph on Canvas | Signed by Phil Hill, John Surtees & Artist Danny Day
A remarkable limited-edition artwork celebrating the full sweep of Ferrari's Formula 1 legacy — and a genuine opportunity to own a piece signed by two of the most legendary World Champions in motorsport history.
Ferrari World Champions is a limited-edition acrylagraph on canvas, published in January 2004 from the original oil painting by acclaimed artist Danny Day. Each piece is individually hand-signed and numbered by Danny Day, Phil Hill, and John Surtees. The composition is extraordinary — leading from the foreground in full color is Michael Schumacher's dominant Marlboro Ferrari, pulling the eye back through decades of Scuderia history as the machines behind it fade into the monochrome of an earlier era. It is a masterful visual journey from the pioneering open-wheel cars of the 1950s through the turbulent 1970s and into the modern age — all in a single image.
The Edition The worldwide edition of Ferrari World Champions consists of 500 impressions total, divided as follows:
- Regular Edition — 400
- Artist Proof — 50
- Hors Commerce — 50
The pieces offered here are from the Regular Edition of 400. Each is hand-signed and individually numbered, with an image area of 24" × 36" on archival canvas.
The Signatures Phil Hill and John Surtees were two of the most accomplished drivers ever to wear the Prancing Horse. Hill became the first American-born Formula 1 World Champion in 1961; Surtees remains the only man in history to win World Championships on both two wheels and four. Their signatures on a single piece of Ferrari art are extraordinarily rare — both have since passed, making this edition a true piece of motorsport history.
Provenance & Authentication This edition ships with a Certificate of Authenticity and original photographs of Phil Hill and John Surtees signing the edition — documentation that establishes clear, unimpeachable provenance. In today's collectibles market, that level of signing evidence is exceptional and adds measurably to the long-term value of the piece.
